Parco Mediceo di Villa Demidoff, Firenze

"Psyche-Gohei"

inside is beyond

The Elisa project Zadi intends to reflect the participants on two issues to you particularly care: psychological introspection and the sacredness of the tree. Psyche, as well as soul during the Renaissance, was the name that identified the mirror placed in the private room; the gohei, are paper  decorations that, in,  Japan are made to Eastern tradition, the work looks like a rope-circumference to install the trunk of the tree: this is composed, rhythmic intervals, from small portraits on canvas made in the mirror, mirrors-psyche that reflect light and flights of the participants in the performance, and gohey containing dedicated messages.Marco Palamidessi, curator of the event, says: "in this new performance action of Elisa Zadi, conceptually prenetante, items are symbolically and factually, to meet and live with, while belonging to two cultures and philosophies that are distant in time and space, as the Greek- Japanese and Eastern - Western. The artist manages with ease to merge them into a work that wants to be universal, overcoming , and every cultural and geographical distance, reminding us of our nature of living beings composed of the same elements.Called to come closer, the observer will come into contact not only with self-portraits, figurative fruits derived from the pictorial introspective-investigation that much helped to define the personality of Elisa Zadi in the contemporary scene, but will be able to confront himself too. The natural area  is essential where the experience, the forest, one of the sacred places and animated. It is said that if you don't go in the Woods and can't abandon yourself  to nature with freedom and courage, nothing will ever happen, and life will not have a real beginning. The same can be said of the art itself, which is way higher and intense to know ourselves .

Parco Mediceo di Villa Demidoff 22 giugno 2016 - Firenze

http://zadielisa.blogspot.com/2016/09/elisa-zadi-e-i-patriarchi-nel-parco-di.html

A few kilometers from Florence is the green oasis of the Pratolino Park. Among meadows, woods and lakes, one of the largest parks in Tuscany and since 2013 recognized as a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Commissioned by a Medici, Francesco I, who made it a park of wonders, it is known as Villa Demidoff by the Russian-born industrial family who bought it in 1872. The splendid Villa which was built in the sixteenth century no longer exists; the park enriched with water games, labyrinths, automobiles and artificial caves has been stripped of its works over the centuries. But the enchantment of a mighty nature remains, with large green spaces, dense woods, meadows, as well as the "wonders" that still populate it, from the Giant of the Apennines, by Giambologna, to the Cupid's cave, from the Mugnone fountain. to the chapel, designed by Buontalenti in 1580.
