Extinct Animals Fantasy
it is a work composed of a triptych of three stitched links in raw cotton canvas and applied on a wooden support, which frames them as in a case. Three different patterns are painted on the front of the shirts; the conceptual and graphic choice is that of contrasting colorful flowers with skulls (compatible with each other by geographical area) belonging to extinct species of animals. The names of the disappeared species have been specially written on the neck of the shirts, as if to determine the name of a model in fashion design, accompanied, instead of the classic sizes SML, by the word EX, terminology used in zoology to indicate that a given species is extinct. "Panthera Tigris Sundaica", "Homo Sapiens Idaltu", "Diceros Bicornis Longipes" have been chosen from different continents to be the protagonists of this work which, in the provocative and playful contrast together, brings them back to memory in a wearable version, a tribute contemporary for today's society.The conceptual and graphic choice is to contrast colorful flowers with skulls (compatible with each other by geographical area) belonging to extinct species of animals. The SheetArt - art in your pocket project was born under the careful and scrupulous artistic direction of Fabio De Poli. The publishing house moves in search of established artists who agree to get involved by participating in a "revolutionary" project and new talents who are offered the opportunity to show their potential. In 2021 the SheetArt project decides to print new artist notebooks and it is the work of Elisa Zadi to be published.
Elisa Zadi, a well-known Tuscan artist, offers a graphic series of works that are well suited to black and white printing. The conceptual choice of Zadi carries on the theme of nature in relation to extinct animals with the aim of raising public awareness on this issue and at the same time playing down with a pregnant and captivating graphics.
This graphic project already sees his birth in the work "Extinct Animals Fantasy" pictorial installation now belonging to the Carlo Palli collection which boasts the mention of the finalists for the 2015 Art Award.
